Merlot grapes ready to crush at harvest for our Casse Tete wine.

Dry wines evoke a sense of coziness that we can't help but appreciate in the winter months. Whether you're pairing them with a hearty winter meal, a holiday celebration, or a cozy day snowed-in, the rich, jammy flavors of Shiraz or the bubbly, citrus, and yeasty qualities of Vidal Blanc Sparkling are a welcome addition in the cooler months.

Oliver Winery's delicious and tropical Creekbend III 2023
Creekbend III 2023
This blend of Vignoles and Vidal Blanc showcases our growing & winemaking abilities and innovation. The Vignoles portion of this wine is fermented in oak barrels and aged on the lees for several months, while Vidal Blanc is fermented in stainless steel, creating a blend with a bright, tropical nose and buttery, supple finish. This wine is the perfect addition to a cozy winter evening—pair with an intimate dinner party or a winter sunset. Serve with chicken, seafood or a creamy pasta dish.
Oliver Winery's rich and lively Vidal Blanc 2022
Vidal Blanc Sparkling 2022
Every year, this Creekbend classic is carefully handmade in small batches using traditional “méthode champenoise.” Our vineyard, production, and bottling crew work together from vine to bottle to bring this favorite to life. It ferments in bottle, and must be disgorged before bottling for a high quality, delicious wine with fine bubbles and rich flavor. Enjoy the sublime flavor of Vidal grapes, lively effervescence, and rich flavor under softly twinkling lights during holiday celebrations big or small. Perfect for starting new traditions.
Oliver Winery's smooth and rich Casse-Tête 2022
Casse-Tête 2022
We think you'll enjoy this wine so much, we've included two bottles in your club! This Bordeaux-style blend is new to our collection this year! Fruit harvested at peak ripeness from Washington state is crushed and sent straight to our tanks for warm fermentation, and followed by a secondary malolactic fermentation. In order to maintain strong fruit-forward characteristics, this blend is aged primarily in stainless steel. The name “Casse-Tête” is French for “puzzle” or “brain teaser” to symbolize its unique blend of fruit which influences color, intensity, flavor, aroma, tannin, and structure. The 2022 is our inaugural vintage, full of rich flavors of cherry, black currant, blueberry, cocoa, vanilla, and clove, with youthful-yet-smooth tannins. Pair with a home-cooking date night. Steak, beef bourguignon, or aged cheddar will make this wine shine.
Oliver Winery's lush and vibrant Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and 2022
Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 + Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
One of the classics. We create an approachable Cab with fruit sourced from Lodi & Paso Robles, California. Gentle handling & barrel aging are key elements in maintaining fruit-forward flavor, and bold, yet soft tannins. While this wine will age beautifully for another 10-12 years, it is delicious now with aromas of cinnamon on the nose and flavors of currant and vanilla on the finish. Enjoy comparing these two vintages side by side to appreciate the nuance of each vintage. Serve with bold flavors, such as red meats, or stuffed portabellas.

A Glimpse into Production Magic

Wineries are inherently cool places. But the bottling line has a certain Wonka-ness about it that is truly thrilling. Fillers and capsulers and accumulation tables and inspectors whirring, buzzing, clanking — all of it helping us make sure our wines taste like wine. (Not like snozzberries ... yet wink).

Cellar Club | Fall 2023

While we love a crisp white on a hot summer day or a dry red with an evening barbecue, dry wines are absolutely irresistible in the cooler months. There's no better time to enjoy a glass full of a rich, dry red or bright, effervescent sparkling than on cozy fall or winter days.
