Introducing Pat Brown as Oliver Winery CEO

Pat Brown, Oliver Winery CEO at the company's Bloomington, Indiana headquarters.

In a 52-year story, Oliver Winery has had only two Chief Executive Officers. We're excited to welcome Patrick Brown as our third-ever CEO.

Pat transitions into his role following Julie Adams, as she works towards her planned retirement in 2025. In the meanwhile, Julie is staying on as President, ensuring a seamless transition for Pat and our company as a whole.

This marks a new era — and we assure you, the quality, growth, innovation, and care for our customers and our wines stay true to our origins and winemaking philosophy.

"I believe Pat Brown will be an ideal leader to continue our track record of category leadership and innovation," said Bill Oliver, founder and board member. "For 15 years, Julie’s leadership has moved Oliver Winery forward. Pat’s deep consumer goods expertise and connections will bring even more power to our brand."

Get to Know Pat

Pat joins Oliver Winery with an abundance of success and 30 years of experience in the consumer goods industry.

He has been a leader at multi-national companies, including Unilever and Johnson & Johnson, and has experience with breakout brands including KIND Snacks.

An extensive search process ensured his talents not only fit with the winery's strategy, but its culture, and community. With a growth focus committed to teamwork and care, Pat’s approach embodies our core values and reinforces our goal to lead the sweet & flavored wine category.

"I could not be happier to join Oliver Winery," said Pat. With a great brand, outstanding products, and phenomenal operations capabilities, this business has all the tools to scale to the next level. I’m looking forward to joining this high-caliber team and becoming part of the Oliver family.”

To the Future

Oliver's refreshingly real wines, our Indiana headquarters, and our team are here to stay. Bringing new experiences & knowledge into our company helps to nourish it, and let it flourish and grow.

"For many years, we’ve been laying a foundation for Oliver to become the leader in sweet and flavored wine,” added Adams. “We have a tenured management team and many years of significant beverage experience on our board. I’m confident he is the right leader for another incredible chapter in the Oliver Winery story."

Pat and our team are moving into this transition with thoughtfulness, enthusiasm, and a hands-on approach. We have a real sky's the limit mindset around here, and we can't wait to see where this takes us. Cheers to our next chapter!
