Oliver Voted #3 Tasting Room in U.S. with Newsweek
Oliver was nominated as one of Newsweek’s Readers’ Choice Top U.S. Tasting Rooms in September. After a month of voting, the results are in. We placed third out of the sixteen options—all thanks to you! Cheers to all who voted and to our wonderful team, who make our grounds a delight to visit from first sight to last sip.
Our Tasting Room has a variety of options to fit any kind of visitor. Our reserved experiences require a little planning and offer a more formal look into our wines and facilities, but we do have more casual and spontaneous options as well! Read below to learn about a handful of our favorite visiting experiences.
Here are five ways you can enjoy a day at Oliver:
1. Reserved Tastings
Reservation required. In a Reserved Tasting, one of our knowledgeable staff members will guide you through a flight of our wines with insight into wine tasting technique, flavors, and winemaking. Throughout the year we have special, themed tastings such as our October wine and candy pairings or February wine and chocolate pairings. Perfect for anyone looking for an educational wine experience, whether it’s your first glass or you’re a wine connoisseur.
2. Reserved Tour
Reservation required. A tour includes a guided look into our grounds and facilities. You’ll get a peek at our cellar and production areas while sampling wines, learning about the history of our winery, and how our wines are produced. A great option for those who want to learn more about Oliver, and enjoy seeing a glimpse behind the scenes. Only available on the weekends!
3. Reserved Picnic
Reservation Required. An upgraded, yet casual reserved experience that provides you a prime spot on the patio with a basket full of charcuterie goodies. You'll purchase your wine separately for this option, and can select a bottle, glass, or flight for your enjoyment! Only available April-October.
4. Self-guided flight
No reservation required! Stop in anytime and build your own flight. Space on the patio is first come, first served, but it’s a perfect option for those who want a relaxed, social, or celebratory day at the winery.
5. Hillside picnic
No reservation required! Make the day your own on the hillside…pack your own picnic (no outside alcohol), pick up supplies in the Tasting Room, sip on frosé, or your favorite bottle, and find a picnic table to enjoy the day. This option is great for a spontaneous trip on perfect-weather days, or for relaxed celebrations with a few friends.

Oliver Winery Earns Spot on Best Places to Work in Indiana 2024
Our employees are a massive force in making this company what it is, and we strive to honor their time and dedication by creating an equally wonderful space to work in. Thanks to their feedback, we were announced as one of the Best Places to Work in Indiana.
A Glimpse into Production Magic
Wineries are inherently cool places. But the bottling line has a certain Wonka-ness about it that is truly thrilling. Fillers and capsulers and accumulation tables and inspectors whirring, buzzing, clanking — all of it helping us make sure our wines taste like wine. (Not like snozzberries ... yet wink).
