Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic varietal, known the world over for its bold tannins, larger than life mouthfeel, and bright berry flavors accented by warm spice. The Paso Robles AVA provides us with this fruit out of French Camp Vineyards, and has been for many years. While this wine will age beautifully for another 10-12 years, it is approachable and inviting right now with aromas of cinnamon on the nose and flavors of currant, and vanilla at the finish.
Shiraz Reserve 2020
Shiraz Reserve is a star of the wine list. French Camp Vineyards in Paso Robles, CA provides the fruit for this bold, yet balanced red. This year, our Shiraz Reserve was aged in French oak barrels, giving us caramels, vanillas, and toast as a contrast to Shiraz’s bright spice and fruit. This vintage is 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the product is a balanced, smooth wine that goes perfectly with lakeside lounging, and a rich, hearty dinner on the deck.
Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Fruit for this vintage came exclusively from French Camp Vineyards in Paso Robles. This wine was fermented on the skins at a warmer temperature for maximum color and tannins. After fermentation, the wine is moved to new oak barrels for aging. From the bottle, the aromas are pure Cabernet Sauvignon: currant, blackberry, and a hint of oak and vanilla from barrel aging. Enjoy this wine with your finest steak or pot roast dinner, as you sit back and savor good company.
Crimson Cabernet 2020
This long-time tasting-room favorite is quite the unique find. The last of its vintage, it's produced from a rare hybrid-cross of Cabernet Sauvignon and Norton, and carries rich berry and oak flavors with sweet cherry pie aromas. This full-bodied wine has light, supple tannins best for enjoying now rather than aging. It makes a decadent addition to a dinner party or fun way to elevate an evening around the fire.
Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Grapes for the 2018 vintage also came from French Camp Vineyards in Paso Robles. The cooler climate adds alluring aromatics and firm tannin character. This wine was fermented warm to achieve a soft tannin structure and rich color. The 2018 vintage has loads of jammy fruit, with notes of wild cherry and raspberry, accented with hints of currant and spice on the finish. Treat yourself to a relaxing evening with a favorite hobby and side of dark chocolate.
