Creekbend Club | Spring 2025

Creekbend classics to ring in the new season of growth. A great addition to a day in the garden, home-cooked dinner, gathering of family or friends, or an evening on the porch. Enjoy a sip of these Indiana wines that taste like home.

Creekbend III 2023
This blend of Vignoles and Vidal Blanc showcases our growing & winemaking abilities and innovation. The Vignoles portion of this wine is fermented in oak barrels and aged on the lees for several months, while Vidal Blanc is fermented in stainless steel, creating a blend with a bright, tropical nose and buttery, supple finish. This wine adds a touch of class to summer evenings. Perfect for a patio dinner or an evening under the stars.

Creekbend Tawny
Our decadent dessert wine is a blend of 50% Chambourcin and 50% Vignoles. Add a touch of coziness to the summer, with this full-bodied wine, brimming with deep flavors of dates, vanilla, fig, and walnut. Add a dash into baked goods, or enjoy around the campfire.

Creekbend Vidal Blanc Sparkling 2022
Every year, this Creekbend classic is carefully handmade in small batches using traditional “méthode champenoise.” Our vineyard, production, and bottling crew work together from vine to bottle to bring this favorite to life. It ferments in-bottle, and must be disgorged before bottling for a high quality, delicious wine with fine bubbles and rich flavor. Enjoy the sublime flavor of Vidal grapes, lively effervescence, and buttery flavor for a summertime treat. Find a reason to celebrate, elevate date night, or simply pop a cork and enjoy with fried chicken (trust us, it’s delicious).

Creekbend Chambourcin 2022
This beautifully rich, dry red is crafted with one of our most abundant Creekbend grape varietals. Winter-hardy and rot-resistant, this French-American hybrid is well-suited for our climate with cold winters and wet weather. Minimalist winemaking is needed for this dry-red favorite, with rich berry flavor. It’s fermented in stainless steel tanks rather than barrels, for a lighter body and subtle tannins. Delicious on late summer afternoons with a grilled steak and garden produce, or while watching the sun go down.

Creekbend Vignoles 2024
This Creekbend specialty has bright, rich fruit flavors of citrus, peach, and pineapple. We create an ideal environment for Vignoles grapes by planting them at the highest point in the vineyard, ensuring they get plenty of sun and wind to allow them to reach a spectacular ripeness. Once they’re off the vine, we keep it simple and straightforward, cold fermenting and arresting with a little residual sugar, honoring the flavor of the fruit from vine to glass. Pair with a sun-soaked afternoon spent reading, a relaxing day by the water, or an evening of self-care.

Creekbend Catawba 2023
A tasting room favorite. Catawba is native to our climate and known for its soft, fruity flavors including strawberry, peach, and melon. If you’ve ever gotten the chance to try a Catawba grape, you’ll know that the flavor in the glass is straight from the vine. Share with friends at a garden party. Pair with a charcuterie board with light cheeses, fruits, honey, and a hint of spice.

Farewell Creekbend: A Letter from Bill
The Creekbend Vineyard era has come to an end. For over 30 years, it played a vital role in Oliver history, teaching us invaluable lessons about grape growing in the eastern United States. While some varieties didn’t thrive as expected, others flourished, producing exceptional wines. I will always cherish the memories—the challenges and the successes.
